The update to Android 4.2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 has reportedly been delayed.

SamMobile’s Twitter account said Samsung had delayed the upgrade because of “new TW for SIII and Note II”.

This new TouchWiz, the customised user interface that Samsung overlays over Google’s Android operating system, could be found on the Galaxy S4 and the Korean company was keen to move it onto its older devices and had hinted it would bring the Android upgrade, as well as new features from the S4, to its devices, Expert Reviews reported.

Currently the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2 are upgradeable to 4.1.2, the earlier version of Jelly Bean.

Samsung said it did not comment on rumour or speculation.
