Galaxy S4 KitKat update could be hitting soon, screenshot suggests

It looks like Android 4.4 KitKat could finally be arriving on Samsung’s flagship device.

A screenshot of the Galaxy S4 running Android’s latest OS (below) has allegedly leaked online. How do we know it’s 4.4? The icons on the top of the screen have changed to white, just one of the changes that came with the update.

The update seems to have led to a slightly redesign of the TouchWix UX design that Samsung uses on the S4. The company unveiled its new Magazine UX for the new PRO line of tablets at CES this week, so this could be the last hurrah for the TouchWiz.

Android 4.4 has been available on Nexus devices since last year and recently came to Motorola’s Moto G. We’re hoping to see the 4.4 update hit the S4 sooner rather than later, as the reveal of the Galaxy S5 may not be far off.
