Samsung’s Galaxy Young will be available from this weekend in the UK from O2 and the Carphone Warehouse, but no pricing details are available as yet.

The device runs with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 1 GHz processor with and 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, which seems pretty low (however it does have microSD options).

Keeping mum on price

O2 and Carphone Warehouse would stock the device, Samsung said, as well as other networks and retailers, but O2 said it didn’t have pricing information available until Monday.

Carphone Warehouse said the device was in the pre-registration phase and as such, no tariff details were available as yet.

Everything Everywhere said it didn’t have any news on whether it would stock the Galaxy Young and pricing if so.

Three said it was not stocking the device.

Phones 4u said it was currently just stocking the Samsung Y.

Vodafone said it would not be stocking the Samsung Y.

The breakdown

The device has some of the more odd specs out there, including a 3.27 inch screen.  It will measure 58.6 by 109.4 mm and be 12.5 mm thick, weighing 112g.

Running Android 4.1 with a 1GHz processor and 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage with microSD options up to 64GB, the device would pack a 3MP camera and 1300mAh battery.
