The Google Nexus 10 looks set to be the next Google tablet, as it’s been revealed the company is aiming for the more lucrative high-end market in a partnership with Samsung.

Richard Shim, analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, has been speaking to CNET about what he knows about the Google tablet and has revealed that “It’s going to be a high-end device”, so don’t expect a bargain price like the £159 Nexus 7, which is built and supplied by Asus.

The 10.1-inch Google Nexus 10 is expected to come with a 1600 x 2560-pixel display with a 299 ppi (pixels per inch) density, which is actually higher than the 264 ppi found on the Retina Display of the current 9.7-inch Apple iPad.

Shim also revealed that the Google Nexus 10 tablet will be built and supplied by Samsung. Furthermore, it will be co-branded with Samsung, further strengthening the ties between the two firms. No indication as to when the Google Nexus 10 tablet will launch has been given at this point.

What do you think? Should Google enter the more expensive end of the tablet market or do you prefer the bargain price of the current Nexus 7 tablet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
