The HTC Droid Incredible X (or DIx for short) is being touted as the smartphone/tablet hybrid that will put HTC back in favour with gadget fans, as it is rumoured to deliver both in terms of design and cutting-edge tech.

HTC is holding a launch event on 19th September in New York later this week and it’s rumoured that we’ll possibly see the launch of two new HTC tablets, alongside some other devices.

Images of what is believed to be the HTC Droid Incredible X have been circulating for a couple of weeks online, but tech specs are still thin on the ground.

However, it’s believed the HTC DIx will pack in a Full HD 1080p display with a pixel resolution of 480ppi into its 5-inch screen.

When it comes to performance, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 is expected, along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The HTC Droid Incredible X is rumoured to even have a second LED notification light on the back of the device, as well as one on the front, so you’ll never need to miss a call or message update again.

What do you think, have we seen the best from HTC or will the HTC Droid Incredible X put the firm back on the map? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
