Video Review: Testing the Xperia Z tablet’s waterproof capabilities

We’re currently testing out the Xperia Z tablet here at What Mobile.

The 10.1 inch device is really the tablet version of Sony’s flagship, the Xperia Z (check out our – text – review here) and it certainly lives up to the Xperia Z phone in terms of screen quality – it’s a nice looking tablet.

Sony also claims, like the phone, that the tablet is water resistant up to one metre and for up to 30 minutes.  So we decided to see whether this good looking tablet could really handle the jandal, and chucked it in a container of water.

We decided to view the video results for all you folks at home to see – notice the tablet appears to be quite sensitive to touch, picking up water rolling over it, and doesn’t respond when submerged, so no playing games or pausing videos underwater.
